Riddle 3 - Good or Evil

Last week's riddle was:

What has an eye, but cannot see,
It is a danger to you and me,
What is created, but does not create,
It is what we fear when it wakes,
What causes death, at the peak of life,
It has no fear, it has no strife.

Did you get it?
The answer was:

A Storm!

(This is not mine by the way!)

The reason behind this riddle was that I was in the middle of a very mild snow storm and thought about it. In any storm a life is taken, whether it be a blizzard, hurricane, tornado or even a forest fire (if you think about it as a storm). It reminded me of how short life truly is, so we must remember to live it, and live it to the full, as in Latin, my school's (old) motto: "Vive Ut Vivas", it's actually changed, due to a change in headteachers last year, to "Courage and Confidence"...it is actually quite relevant to the old one, since it does take courage and confidence to live a full life.

So, this week's riddle, get ready:

The root of all sin, it creates not life but death,
Our only solution is to have none,
But even if we declare it, it is still there,
Present in the darkness of our hearts,
Even the purest,
It is our greatest defeat.

Again I will be waiting for answers that are posted, so please...COMMENT THE ANSWER THAT YOU THINK IT IS!!!!

That is all!

By the way, this picture has no reference to the answer, I put it up, because it reflects the thought of life, how magnificent and mysterious it is, we don't really think at all, and just take it for granted. AGAIN THE PICTURE IS NOT MINE!!! I just used it for inspiration, click on the picture to see who actually made it.
